ABOUT JOSH

Hello, I’m Josh Tyhurst, the Owner and Broker here at McCloud Realty.

Being a McCloud resident, having grown up here, and having generational family ties to town, allows me to have an in-depth prospective of McCloud, its history, current state and where it may be headed. All of which helps me be able to answer my clients questions and give them the full picture of what McCloud has to offer. I’m able to point you in the right direction during the sale process as a buyer or seller, giving you the local advice you need and I’ll be around after the sale is final, as a community member, good neighbor and continuous resource.

Along with my time here in McCloud, I’ve lived with my wife, Linn, throughout northern California, including time on the Humboldt County coast and in Marin County. These areas helped shape who I am and give me a prospective beyond simple localism.

I started owned, operated and sold a client based business while living in the North Bay Area. Those experiences cultivated my entrepreneurial spirt and help me build an understanding of what it takes to be an independent business owner in California. Prior to that I spent years doing general maintenance and construction jobs. Those experiences help me gain the knowledge to do several home renovations and remodels over the years, all of which gives me appreciation for a quality home or the ability to see the hidden potential in some of these older McCloud mill homes that still are in need of work.

Outside of selling real estate, most of my time is spent adventuring around our local and regional mountains. I’m an avid hiker and seasoned backpacker. When time permits my wife and I love to travel to our national parks and public lands and see the natural beauty of America West. You will also see us walking our two pups, Jada and Ziggy, around town or see me riding my bicycle on these rural county roads.

I’m here to assist you in whatever real estate needs you have whether it is buying, selling or consulting. I pride myself on being a clear communicator to advocate for you in the real estate process while working with only the highest of ethics and personal/professional standards. All while enjoying the process and gaining you're camaraderie with the goal of finishing your transaction on a positive note.

ABOUT LINN

Hello, I'm Linn Tyhurst, the Owner and Realtor here at McCloud Realty!

After growing up in rural Humboldt County and living for many years on the North Coast and in Marin County, I was overjoyed to move to the mountains! For 15 years, I have been making regular trips to the Mount Shasta area, learning to love it more and more each year. Now that I live here, I fully appreciate so many aspects of this lifestyle. From the small towns in the area to the vast outdoors, this special place has something for everyone.

I was raised by a real estate agent and a builder, so my love and interest for homes, properties, remodeling, design etc was instilled in me at a young age. When we bought our first house, a 1930s Craftsman, in our early 20s, it was a great adventure to spend 5 years remodeling every part of it on our own. I fully understand the love of home ownership and the importance of making the right decision while purchasing your home. Having also sold that home, I realize what a big decision that is and how you really want the agent with the best knowledge and commitment to you during that process.

I feel confident that whether you are looking to buy your next home or sell your current home, I, along with Josh, can best represent you and will always put your interests first in the transaction. I believe that inte
grity, honesty and diligence are the most important aspects of any real estate transaction and I fully commit myself to that!

When I'm not busy with real estate duties, I spend my time managing my other business, McCloud Vacation Rentals, hanging out with my rescue pups, Jada and Ziggy, going on long bike rides with friends or off on adventures with my husband, Josh. I also stay busy as the President of the Siskiyou Humane Society.

"Josh was fantastic! Getting the house I was selling through escrow was unexpectedly challenging for all involved. Josh kept his cool and was extremely patient, but also worked hard and did everything possible to keep everything and everyone together and moving forward. He was even able to pull a rabbit out of his hat to solve a last second snag so I could complete the purchase of another house on time. Excellent job!!"

THE KIDS OF McCLOUD REALTY

Jada and Ziggy are both rescued shelter dogs and the now are loved family members!

They love their lives in the mountains and enjoy swimming, hiking, playing in the snow, chasing each other in the yard and relaxing in the sun or in front of the wood stove.

Jada was adopted from the Contra Costa Animal Shelter in Martinez, CA at about 3 months old, in January 2015. Ziggy was found as a stray in the town of Weed and was in the local Siskiyou Humane Society for about 2 months before we adopted him at about 10 months old, in October 2016.
